Now and again ,my family of doves fly around near the cottage. These two seem to enjoy sitting on the patio wall. I watched them both for a while. There was communication for sure between these two..

Hello dear Val. Once again I'm catching up with my reading so apologies if I've missed any recent posts. Not intentional that's for sure. We have two in our garden that John feeds every day. I call them pigeons but John insists they're collared doves. Anyway they are now the fattest on the block and sit on top of our Pergola every morning waiting for their breakfast. Catch up soon Val.

The doves are such sweet birds. I love hearing them coo. They seem not as fast as other birds, so when the cats are nearby I shoo the doves away. They seemed to enjoy feeding on the ground, taking what the other birds have spilled from the feeder. A Popular thing going on here is the release of white doves at weddings, even funerals. The doves are trained to return to the handler. It's a beautiful sight to see them fly their patterns as they are trained to do. Wishing you a happy Easter weekend Val!
ReplyDeleteSo sweet. A perfect symbol of loving companionship, Val.
