I am now at a loss as to what to think about the weather. The rain ,wind and cold weather is back again. Mother nature, only gave us a couple of days respite. There is nothing one can do, especially in the garden, where there is always things to do. Its like a lake outside . But have to remember its April. And April showers come our way.
I took this photo from my window.. you cant see anything.. its just pouring down.
On the other hand, its good for my plants and trees. My pomegranate tree is full of new leaves.
Filipe , was down for the weekend. We decided to go out for Sunday lunch. It was laughter and happiness all the way, with an extra few glasses of wine.
Val, Filipe, Filipe's fiançe Diana, and my grandaughter Maria(Filip's) daughter.
We go to our favorite restaurant. Great atmosphere, and they know us so well.
Filipe finally worked out how to take an automatic photo with my camera.. placed it on the table opposite and ran to be with us.. we laughed our heads off.
Such a lovely weekend. Even though I say it myself.. I think this is such a happy photo.
Off to make a coffee. Wishing you all a happy 1st of April.
val
Dear Val, it is so lovely to see you having such a happy time. There is nothing better than a few glasses of wine over lunch with our beloved families. April shower time for you, and that's a great photo of rain. I have been trying to capture rain too. I saw your sign about turning off word verification, and I turned mine off. I have been thinking of doing it to see if the spammers had gone away, and you prompted me! Have a great week, Val. xxx

Yes, indeed dear Olympia. We do need the rain. My plants are growing so fast now. I only hope that the rain doesnt damage the rose buds that are now starting to show.
DeleteNo better moments than family moments. Thank you Olympia. xxx
You have such a nice looking family, Val. I bet it was wonderful getting together going out to eat and having some laughs.
ReplyDeleteIt's still raining where you live! You know, it was starting to get sunny here, and now it's raining this week! I never complain about the rain cause we need it in California right now. Don't worry, the sunshine will come soon, my friend.

DeleteWe were having fun. Sometimes its nice just to be with one child.. we catch up on everything. The rain will hopefully be leaving by the weekend.
It was Mothering Sunday here at the weekend - I wonder if it was for you too with your happy family lunch? It matters not what the weather is like when you are having such a lovely time together - happiness exudes from the photo.

ReplyDeleteHello Valerie
ReplyDeleteI am impressed that you have pomegranate trees. It sounds frightfully exotic!!
I love your family picture where you are all laughing heartily.
Have a lovely week
Helen xx
Hello Val,
ReplyDeleteGosh the rain does seem to be relentless with you. As you say, although it is certainly good for all your plants it does prevent one from getting on with the myriad of jobs which always need to be done in the garden. One begins to have the feeling that Nature is running ahead and one will never catch up.
And, what a happy picture of you all! We too love to be 'known' in a restaurant as that then becomes just like a family affair eating at home.
Hello Jane and Lance,
DeleteThank you for leaving your comment. Our weather has been very hard on us for the last week. we are hoping for better days this weekend.
Yes, our restaurant is like home.. we have been going there for 20 years.
What a happy photo Val.! Easy to see you are having a great time!
ReplyDeleteI know how frustrating it can be when you can't get out to the garden for one reason or another. The rain will stop soon and then you will be busy!
Happy April days.
Betty ox
Thank you Betty,
ReplyDeleteBetter weather is on its way.. we will be getting a few showers here and there.
I will soon be in the garden..
Hi Val. Another beautiful header pic. That must be such a pretty sight looking out at your olive trees. Yes, spring seems to be short lived. Hopefully it will all improve. Love that you had such a good time with your family. You all certainly look like you are enjoying time together..Happy Wednesday..Judy
ReplyDeleteDear Val,what a happy family lunch!Great photos!It has'nt rain here,for a long time!
ReplyDeleteWish you a happy April month!
Dimi...
The picture of you and your family is so beautiful. I can see the love there. I am so tired of snow I will love the rain, at least for alittle while. HA! HA!
ReplyDeleteSuch a happy family photo! Love all your green and leafiness.
ReplyDeleteHello dear Val. You do look like you're all having a lovely lunch. There's nothing like having family around to brighten any day, rain or not. Our rain here has, I hope, taken rain check (sorry I couldn't resist that) but in its place we are experiencing some awful smog and pollution in London and the South. Sand coming from the Sahara dessert is covering everything and you can't see much in front of you in certain places. We are off in our campervan tomorrow for a couple of days with our daughter and partner so hoping for some good weather. Speak again soon and have a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteHugs, Patricia x
Sorry you're having so much rain, Val. Spring does seem to be erratic this year. But you have flowers and a new dog and a new car and family who love you and take you to lunch and I'm glad for you.
ReplyDeleteApologies for my long absence and lack of comments. I'm still catching up.
Oh Val, I love that last shot. That's what life is all about, spending time with people you love and laughter. I do think it's that simple.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the rain, you will be wishing for it in the hot summer days :-)

It's a lovely photo, Val! And it looks like you were having a wonderful time together, good food, good company, and much laughter. We had terrible rain 2 days ago.... the streets were like rivers. But, as you said, we will be happy that the gardens had all this precious rain in the ground to make them grow. When the sun is out it's been very warm and lovely, but at night it's still chilly when the sun goes down. But that is how Spring is here.
