60 years on the throne

The British Monarchy have been through so many ups and downs during the last 60 years.
Queen Elisabeth has sood firm and shown great strength of charachter.
Her great grandmother Queen Victoria Reigned for 63 years and 7 months.

Wishing her a great happy day today.

  1. Hi Val. I think being queen would be sometimes nice but often very hard. I hope she feels she has had a good life. I hope you had a wonderful weekend! Thanks for always leaving such kind comments on my posts.

  2. To be a Queen, must be so very difficult. Elisabeth seems to have done a great job.
I always love reading your blogs Lisa.
Thanks also for passing by me.
    send best wishes

  3. Dear Val - I have just watched a programme about her 60 years, the second half is tomorrow. She and Prince Philip are really rather remarkable for their age, still travelling around the globe. Apparently a red despatch box is sent to her from Government every day and she reads all of the papers thoroughly.

  4. I have always liked our Royal family.. I think Elisabeth has been a true Queen..
My middle son Miguel, had the pleasure in October last of being in the company of Prince filipe. A charming getleman he told me.
    Thanks Rosemary

  5. Hello Valerie

  7. Hello dear Val,
I've experienced problems with your blog as no links would work for this new site, but at last I'm here. The link from Helen's blog roll did the trick! I have missed visiting.
How lovely to see your beautiful moss rose Royal Albert tea set in the previous post.
    Have a wonderful day!
