Flowers blooming in my garden this morning..and lemons from my new lemon tree. |
Yellow flowers in the fields..thoughts of love and long walks along the lanes.. sitting under the trees with the warm bright yellow sun shining down. |
Yellow is a warm colour it can enhance your vision and a great colour to combinate with.

My one and only yellow table cloth. I use it at easter time.
A little bunch of yellow roses - hand painted on porcelain by me

Lemonade days are on their way. |
Sending warm sunny greetings to you all.
Yellow for -Romance, laughter, joy, friendship and happy days ahead. -Today, I feel Mellow-Yellow, the birds are chirping and are happy in the warmth of the sun. The bees are busy about the pollens.
Life is good, and I hope that you are all enjoying your day today.
Maybe you would like to tell me about your favorite color.
~ I can feel the sunshine in this post, dear Val...As I type I am looking on a kitchen full of yellow...We are both feeling colours in our posts.... Your painting is superb! ~ with 'Twinkly' kind thoughts...***Maria x

ReplyDeleteThank you Olga.
DeleteYellow and blue look beautiful together too.
thanks for coming over to see me..
Dear Val - you have picked the perfect colour for April - April flowers are predominantly yellow - fresh bright and cheerful. Lemons - a favourite fruit - delicious scent, colour and flavour -how lucky you are to be able to pick them straight from the tree. I always remember that my first granddaughter chose yellow as her favourite colour when she was a toddler, which I thought quite unusual, as most little girls seem to choose pink.
ReplyDeleteIt was not my intention to pick the color for April. I woke this morning looking at the fields and the sun was shining and yellow and its brightness and good feeling came to mind.
ReplyDeleteI am so pleased with my few lemons.. the tree is full of flowers. so i will get more later on in the year.
I always dressed my babies in yellow and white for the first few months after they were born. Me and mum, decided it was better . In those days, we were not told the sex of the baby. And even if i could have been told.. I would not have wanted to know.. its sheer delight when we know what sex it is when they are born.
I have become a pinky sort of person now..but not when i was young.
thank you Rosemary, for your kind comments.
How wonderful just to pick lemons from the tree! Such a lovely sunshine post Val xx
ReplyDeleteI dont have any left at the moment Suzy.. but i have lots of flowers.. so later on i will.
DeleteI want to plant another one.
Delightful Yellow post, Val, and here I am wearing yellow pants today! Love your painting, all the pretty yellow flowers you have blooming, and your Easter towel. I have those yellow daisies too, but here they are in the garden beds - they are pretty tough, which is good when everything else is not doing anything. Thank you for a lovely hit of Sunshine. XXX
ReplyDeleteThank you Patricia.. How ironic.. you wearing yellow pants today. I am pleased you like my painting.. its so old.. I really didnt know what i was doing.. it was my 2nd attempt all those years ago.
DeleteHello Val
ReplyDeleteYellow is such a happy colour and signifies Spring for me. My favourite season. I love all your images Val.
Hope your week is special
Helen xx
Yes, it signifies spring for me too.. Its a wonderful season full of love and hope ... Thank you Helen.
DeleteWhat a lovely, happy post, Val, and I'm very impressed by your painting skills. I love yellow because for me it's the colour of spring after all the drabness of winter. I'm not sure if I have a single favourite colour, but if pushed I would choose blue, partly because it suits me whereas I can't wear yellow at all.
ReplyDeleteI thought it was a happy post too Perpetua. I felt full of the happiness of spring .. The fields look so beautiful at the moment.
DeleteYellow doesnt look too good on me.. but I like a little touch of it here and there ,in my art and roses.
have a good day.
val .
yellow is my favorite color of flower. it revives my spirit.
ReplyDeleteThank you Wild Magnolia..
DeleteIt does the same to me.. I cannot explain really, when i see a yellow flower, or a bird and the flowers in the fields.. it brings me peace.

Hi Val
ReplyDeleteI think Yellow is a fabulous spring and summer colour. It definitely puts a smile on your face. I am embracing a lot more colour these days than I used to and life is a little happier as a result. Bring on colour I say!!!!
Colour brings happiness to our days. And like you say Shell, a smile on our face.
DeleteI felt so happy writing this post and taking the photos.

Val,
ReplyDeleteThat is the loveliest pink flower on your Header! Is that a rose? What a nice post this is today. Yes, I love the color yellow, and it makes me happy. I was thinking lately about doing a yellow post myself some time. I love your painting. You are very talented, dear. Aaaahhh, the yellow daisies in the field - one of my favorite flowers. The quotes that you picked are delightful.
Have a nice Friday, Val.
Love,
~Sheri

ReplyDeleteThank you lisa for your comments.
DeleteI painted the painting so so long ago , and its amazing how many people like it.

Hello Val. What a sunny post! I like yellow in combination with blue and with red. My kitchen, bedroom, two guest rooms, foyer, living room and TV room are each some sort of yellow. Some seem nearly white and some spaces have a sunset glow, but they all have yellow in common.
ReplyDeleteI have had a catch-up on your posts - lovely post about your beautiful granddaughter! We are both so blessed with grandchildren.
Hello Pondside,
ReplyDeleteIt was such a yellowy day.. the fields are looking so beautiful .
I am pretty much the same.. i combine mainly yellows into my art. I have the wall at the back of my bed painted in a very suave pale yellow..
Nice to see you.
Yes , indeed blessed with grandchildren.
What a stunning and beautiful rose header to appear when I pop into your blog! I love all the happy yellow images. It reminds me of spring and warmth and longer days!
ReplyDeleteThank you Sandra..
DeleteIts one of the roses from my rose garden..and i enlarged it to a larger size. Yellow is such a warming spring colour in the fields..
A lovely post, Val! Yellow is just what I need today! It is freezing outside and grey! I admire your garden, your lemons and your paintings! I am so very bad at it! I hope you are fine and the frightening rumbling stopped! Thinking of you! Christa
ReplyDeleteThanks Christa.
ReplyDeleteI do believe your weather is not good. Its depressing i am sure.
pleased you liked the yellow post.
the rumbling stops after seconds.. all is back to normal.

Hello Val! I accessed your post through your comment to Christa! What a lovely post, so full of sun and happiness! yellow is not my favourite colour, but, with blue and green, it certainly permeates di art of Van Gogh, which I love! And... yellow is the colour of the sun, which makes all things clear and visible to us, so we may be happy.
ReplyDeleteNot that much sun here, today, but it has been warmer and my enormous camellia is in full bloom!
HAPPY NEXT WEEK!
ANNA
xx
Yes, indeed Yellow makes me happy. I use it very little around the house.. mainly in the garden and my art work.
DeleteHow wonderful your camelia is in full bloom I love them.. I think they are a romantic flower.
Thank you Anna.
Hi Val--what a fun post!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite color is green. I love yellow houses and rooms and roses! Lemons too.
Your painting is indeed reminiscent of Van Gogh, so intense and beautiful.
Thank you Jen.
DeleteI thought it would be fun to do a yellow post.. the fields are full of such lovely wild flowers...The painting was my second attempt at oils.

It has been a busy time for me, so I apologize for being so late in reading this post. The photographs are so beautiful. I'm so happy to have helped, in some small way, to inspire this post. I know how long it takes and how much work goes into a post like this. Thank you for taking the time to share it with the world...
ReplyDeletelove sent to you.
Thanks Meggie,
DeleteYour fields and where you live remind me of where i live.. your fields of yellow inspired me to make my yellow post.. it was fun.
i enjoyed putting it all together.
happy days
Hello Val, this post is so uplifting and cheerful. I associate yellow with happiness, too. My, your garden is doing marvelous things and that table cloth is lovely.
ReplyDeleteI am back from my trip and I had a wonderful time. Lots of family fun with my two granddaughters, and although my daughter had her head buried in her books most of the time, we did have some great time to visit, too. When I left she was caught up with all her studies and feeling fresh and ready to take on the world, again. God blessed us all in many wonderful ways, this week. Thank you for your sweet comment, you're a good friend.
Your blogging sister, Connie :)
