Yellow ,Mellow days.

The colour of sunshine.
Many have written.   Yellow is for happiness, hope, rememberance, loyalty and joy. I am sure it can stand for many other things too.
For me its happiness and joy..  Yellow draws our attention to it. . Its attractive and warm.  It always make me think.!!  Think of many things, also of softness and sweet smells and friendship.
Flowers blooming in my garden this morning..and lemons from my new lemon tree.
.
Yellow flowers in the fields..thoughts of love and  long walks  along the lanes.. sitting under the trees with the warm bright yellow sun shining down.
I painted this over 25 years ago.. It was a litte touch of van gogh.
Yellow is a warm colour it can enhance your vision and a great colour to combinate with.

"There is no blue without yellow and without orange"  -- "Vincent van Gogh"
My one and only yellow table cloth. I use it at easter time.
A little bunch of yellow roses - hand painted on porcelain by me
"Some painters transform the sun into a yellow spot. Others transform a yellow spot into the sun"--"Pablo Picasso"
This photo is for  'Meggie'- she showed her beautiful field of yellow on her post this morning.   My fields are full of these sweet yellow wild daisies.
Lemonade days are on their way.

Sending warm sunny greetings to you all.

Yellow for -Romance, laughter, joy, friendship and happy days ahead. -Today, I feel Mellow-Yellow, the birds are chirping and are happy in the warmth of the sun. The bees are busy about the pollens.
Life is good, and I hope that you are all enjoying your day today.

Maybe you would like to tell me about your favorite color.

  4. Dear Val - you have picked the perfect colour for April - April flowers are predominantly yellow - fresh bright and cheerful. Lemons - a favourite fruit - delicious scent, colour and flavour -how lucky you are to be able to pick them straight from the tree. I always remember that my first granddaughter chose yellow as her favourite colour when she was a toddler, which I thought quite unusual, as most little girls seem to choose pink.

  5. It was not my intention to pick the color for April. I woke this morning looking at the fields and the sun was shining and yellow and its brightness and good feeling came to mind.
I am so pleased with my few lemons.. the tree is full of flowers. so i will get more later on in the year.
I always dressed my babies in yellow and white for the first few months after they were born. Me and mum, decided it was better . In those days, we were not told the sex of the baby. And even if i could have been told.. I would not have wanted to know.. its sheer delight when we know what sex it is when they are born.
I have become a pinky sort of person now..but not when i was young.
thank you Rosemary, for your kind comments.

  7. Delightful Yellow post, Val, and here I am wearing yellow pants today! Love your painting, all the pretty yellow flowers you have blooming, and your Easter towel. I have those yellow daisies too, but here they are in the garden beds - they are pretty tough, which is good when everything else is not doing anything. Thank you for a lovely hit of Sunshine. XXX

  9. What a lovely, happy post, Val, and I'm very impressed by your painting skills. I love yellow because for me it's the colour of spring after all the drabness of winter. I'm not sure if I have a single favourite colour, but if pushed I would choose blue, partly because it suits me whereas I can't wear yellow at all.

That is the loveliest pink flower on your Header! Is that a rose? What a nice post this is today. Yes, I love the color yellow, and it makes me happy. I was thinking lately about doing a yellow post myself some time. I love your painting. You are very talented, dear. Aaaahhh, the yellow daisies in the field - one of my favorite flowers. The quotes that you picked are delightful.

  20. Hello Val. What a sunny post! I like yellow in combination with blue and with red. My kitchen, bedroom, two guest rooms, foyer, living room and TV room are each some sort of yellow. Some seem nearly white and some spaces have a sunset glow, but they all have yellow in common.
I have had a catch-up on your posts - lovely post about your beautiful granddaughter! We are both so blessed with grandchildren.

  25. Hello Val! I accessed your post through your comment to Christa! What a lovely post, so full of sun and happiness! yellow is not my favourite colour, but, with blue and green, it certainly permeates di art of Van Gogh, which I love! And... yellow is the colour of the sun, which makes all things clear and visible to us, so we may be happy.

Not that much sun here, today, but it has been warmer and my enormous camellia is in full bloom!

    HAPPY NEXT WEEK!

  30. Hello Val, this post is so uplifting and cheerful. I associate yellow with happiness, too. My, your garden is doing marvelous things and that table cloth is lovely.
I am back from my trip and I had a wonderful time. Lots of family fun with my two granddaughters, and although my daughter had her head buried in her books most of the time, we did have some great time to visit, too. When I left she was caught up with all her studies and feeling fresh and ready to take on the world, again. God blessed us all in many wonderful ways, this week. Thank you for your sweet comment, you're a good friend.
    Your blogging sister, Connie :)
