A busy week ahead

Its been a week now since my car blew up.    I am hoping today that the insurance will send a truck to take it away.  It gives me an ache, every time I see it.
March I hope will bring some sun. Our weather has been very dull and raining most of the week.  Not having a car, has made it a little more isolated for me.   Pedro and Maria, have been wonderful and been buying my groceries.
My yellow daisy bush cheered me up a little yesterday.  Still lots to do around the garden
I planted this bamboo last year and its growing like wild fire.. needs a nice trim.   The boarding at the side is coming loose..another thing to add to the list of cleaning and getting things into spring order.

I would like to thank all of you , who left such kind comments on my post about my poor car.

I did not reply individually, it was so overwhelming for me.

A very big thank you.  Wishing you all a happy week   val.

  1. Dear Val, you will be glad to see the car gone; it must have been such a shock and you don't need to be looking at it all the time. After our car accident we never wanted to see the car again, and it was very nice when the insurance gave the new car. I hope your claim goes through easily and quickly. Meanwhile, I have a yellow daisy bush just like that, and really they are so cheerful :) I think your rain may have come over here - we had showers all day, and the garden is very happy. Take care, from your Australian friend Patricia. xxx

  2. You may be busy keeping that bamboo trimmed!
I thought spring was almost here but now we have snow coming again.

  3. Love your daisies, hope you get another car soon. Take care Val and have a blessed week!

  4. awww. i know feeling 'cut off' at home must be very frustrating. so glad you have friends to help.

  5. I can well imagine that you are feeling a little isolated without transport - hopefully all will quickly be resolved and a new vehicle will soon be standing in your driveway.

  6. Val, did you get a "new" vehicle? Those yellow flowers tell me not to give up...although we didn't get snow this time!!!....:)JP

  7. Poor Val, it must be depressing to have to look at the wreck of your dear little car. I do hope the insurance company takes it away soon. At least you have some lovely spring flowers to cheer you up, despite the rainy weather. Here's hoping you'll get some proper spring weather soon.

  8. Oh NO, I hate when my car blows up! I know how much we rely on them, even for me in a city. It must be so much more important in a rural area. I hope you are mobile again really soon. Take care and think positive!
    All the best.

  9. We are having so much snow right now. I can't wait for Spring too. Hope the insurance man comes soon.

  10. Hello Val!!Here we had rainy days and coldII l like your daisies, hope you get another car soon!Wish you a happy new month!!Take care!

  11. I certainly hope this week is a lot better than last week! What a shock for you all! Hope you have your independence back soon in the form of a new car.
There's nothing like a yellow daisy bush to brighten one's outlook.
    Take care Val.

  12. It's that time of year isn't it Val, when everything needs tidying up in the garden and keeping on top of it all. So much to do after the wet winter months. I bet you can't wait for your new car to get you out and about, it must be very frustrating for you. I know I'd miss mine if I didn't have it. Have a good week.
    Patricia x

  13. Val,
It's no fun being without a car, that's for sure. Your yellow daisy bush is so pretty, and blooming already? So nice of your family helping out during this time.

    Take care, my friend.

  14. It must be so isolating without the car and having to rely on others. I hope the insurance sort things out fast so you can get back on the road. Thinking of you . Sarah x

  15. Winter this year has taken a big toll on my garden. Gardenias and rosemaries..all dead and I don't think they'll come back. Two of my favorites and I had so many. Much work to be done outside and still too cold to even think about getting out. So sorry about your car; I must have missed that post. Being without transportation is just the worst. Just knowing you can't go is so depressing. I hope you will like your new car when it arrives.

  16. I'm so glad you are having signs of spring, Val, perhaps that will cheer you a little despite the loss of your car. Thank goodness you have dear ones who help you out while you wait for the insurance. Wishing you a lovely weekend.

  17. Dear Val, I'm here at long last...I seem to have to go to old posts to find you..
Ooh ever soo sorry you are laid up with out 'wheels'...Goodness, it's awful to have to rely on others...I smiled at the names of Pedro ( my kiitties name of course) and Maria!! they sound good peeps...Keep your chin up my friend..As always lovely to pop in on you..and see your little corner in blog land...
    Maria x
