A little bit of happiness on a Saturday

Its a beautiful April spring day here .  The sun was out and I decided to cut some roses for the cottage and take a few photos,

I feel myself very blessed to be living here , in these beautiful open fields.   I felt even more blessed when I took these photos of our little Venus.  She is growing so well, and has brought us joy.
When i call her name, her ears prick up and she looks straight at me.

Peepo... can you see me.. Ilike hiding behind my mummy.
Ahhh.. I just felt like a lie down in the daisies.

I know.. I am a little greedy .. poor mummy.. but she has lots of milk for me.  See how tall I have grown in a week.
With the early morning dew and some rain and then sun.. my rose bushes and plants have  thrived. Each day, I find more buds on the bushes.  They are looking so healthy.
Wishing all my dear blogging friends a wonderful weekend.

Val

  2. Venus is getting so big and she's tall! What a sweet picture of her just lying in the daisies. Oh Val, I can see why you love these open fields. It would be my husband's dream to live in a place like this. It's just so beautiful. Your roses are coming along nicely. My red and pink ones are slow growing, but the yellow and white ones are blossoming every day. Your flower beds are so kept up, and everything is green. Spring has arrived there, Val!

  3. Dear Val, This is such a happy post! Those are wonderful images of Venus and it so good to see your roses blooming once more. We have had such wonderful warm days here, my new garden is looking so dry. It made me think of you wishing for the rain! Sarah x

  4. Dear Val
You look as though you are having beautiful spring weather - your roses bloom much earlier than ours - how lovely you are able to pick some for the house already. I love to see foals with their gangly legs - she is growing fast but both she and her mum seem to be contented. Have a lovely week.
