I took these photos early this morning when the sun was trying to peep through the heavy skies.
The pink bush is laden down with the rain.. the oleander leaves are heavy and droopy, you can just make out the rain drops on the leaves.
I love my "tin" flower holder.. This arrangements sits on top of one of my cabinets...pink roses with green leaves.
My summer lemon juice pottery vase. I have it full of branches of bay leaves and rosemary. Drying out for use in the kitchen.
Wishing you all a happy Friday..
Think of positive things.
Dream a while
enjoy your coffee or tea.

ReplyDeleteYes, it was a little depressing. But we really needed the rain.. Always something to do.

Lovely collage Val, the blue contrasts nicely with the foliage. I think that we enjoy the good days more after a few bad days, the sun and sky seem brighter. Every cloud has a silver lining.
ReplyDeleteThank you Rosemary,
DeleteI would like to go further with pick monkey or some other site.!
there must be more ways to make a collage.
The sun is coming out. Still a little chilly,
so true.. every cloud has a silver lining..

Wishing you a great weekend
Helen xx
Thank you Helen.
DeleteI hope to plant more herbs this next season..
thank you for stopping by..
A beautiful montage!
ReplyDeleteThank you Jen,
Deleteenjoying looking at your photos of the Pueblos' very interesting.
It must be wonderful to have rain after weeks of hot,dry weather - not that we often get weeks of hot, dry weather in the UK so it isn't an experience I've had very often:)
ReplyDeleteHello Rowan,
ReplyDeleteThe rain is most welcome. I do miss the warm days though.
The sun is out this afternoon.
thank you for your comments Rowan.. your post of the moors was great.
I love vases with branches of herbs - I often use herbs as decoration for the table when we have guests. Whenever we visit a place in the south and find a bay bush we take some with us and dry them at home. When I make a dish in wintertime and I then use one of the bay leaves, we always say that there is a little bit of summer in the dish... I how you compiled the photos - really sophisticated and very advanced! Fantastic! Christa
ReplyDeleteI was looking for something to put the bay leaves in with the rosemary..and my summer juice jug was at hand.. I liked it.
DeleteI use a lot of Bayleaf too Christa.
Thank you for your comments.. I am working on better presentations. Its fun.
xx
The pink bush is so pretty, Val. You are getting so much rain! I think ours is on the way, but it will come slowly I'm sure. I want to thank you for the wonderful comment you left on our wedding post. It made us all so happy, and your sincere words touched our hearts. Have a nice Sunday, my sweet friend.
ReplyDelete~Sheri at Red Rose Alley
I have a few of the red bushes.. Gerda i think its called, but i am hopless remembering flower names. It flowers, most of the year around here.
DeleteWonderful post on Nel's wedding..
thank you Sheri.
So sorry to hear about Fiona's cat. I'll pay her a visit.
ReplyDeleteYour collage is gorgeous, Val. How wonderful to have your own fresh herbs. I tried it one year and it was so much fun, but here in So. Florida everything scorches under the sun unless you're a really patient and dedicated gardener...and I'm not. ;)
Thank you for the positive closing words. Same to you, my friend.
